Boys Teams
Level 4:
Replaces
the old Class VII division. Four age divisions are
structured. Their base score is 9.2 with .8 possible
in bonus scoring. Local and State Championship competition
will be offered. All gymnasts perform compulsory routines.
Level 5:
Replaces the old Class VI division. Three age divisions
are structured. Their base score is 9.2 with .8 possible
in bonus scoring. Local, State and Regional Championship
competition will be offered. All gymnasts perform
compulsory routines.
Level 6:
Replaces the old Class VI division. Three age divisions
are structured. Their base score is 9.2 with .8 possible
in bonus scoring. Local, State and Regional Championship
competition will be offered. All gymnasts perform
compulsory routines.
Level 7:
Replaces the old Class VI division. Three age divisions
are structured. Their base score is 9.2 with .8 possible
in bonus scoring. Local, State and Regional Championship
competition will be offered. Gymnasts perform prescribed
routines are allowed to modify certain skills in order
to attain their bonus points.
Level 8:
Is a brand new level, offering F.I.G. modified optional
routines. Since many boys may not be able to perform
at the next two levels, this allows them to perform
optional skills yet remain competitive and developmental
toward a higher level of optional competition. Local,
State and Regional Championship competition will be
offered. Boys can be awarded extra tenths for stuck
landings, general performance area, virtuosity and
originality.
Level 9:
Replaces the old Class III division. One age, 12-13
is offered. This is a high level, F.I.G. optional
rules program, making the scoring standard for bonus
points and requirements, the same as the Elite gymnasts
have. Boys can be awarded extra tenths for stuck landings,
general performance area, virtuosity and originality.
Local, State, Regional and National Championship competition
will be offered.
Level 10:
Replaces the old Class I and II divisions. Two age
groups, 14-15 and 16-18 are offered. This is the highest
level, F.I.G. optional rules program, making the scoring
standard for bonus points and requirements, the same
as the Elite gymnasts have. Boys can be awarded extra
tenths for stuck landings, general performance area,
virtuosity and originality. Local, State, Regional
and National Championship competition will be offered.
